ACC offers solutions for all of today's Broadband Access scenarios, be they High Speed Internet (HSI), Voice or IPTV; copper-based or fiber-based, centrally located or remote.
Voice
In today's highly competitive telecommunications market, operators face a growing challenge: reducing expenditures while providing new, comprehensive service packages. The answer to this challenge is multi-dimensional convergence.
This solution is based on a Multi Service Access Node (MSAN), offering all types of access services on one platform. The deployment of voice over IP services is a major part of carriers' migration to Next Generation Network (NGN) architecture.
Features & Benefits:
- Comprehensive voice support for PSTN emulation (Class 5 replacement) and voice simulation (VoBB - Voice over Broadband)
- Standard-based - consistent with TISPAN NGN/IMS architecture for Access Gateway with NGN protocols and open interfaces
- High-Traffic Capacity - up to 64 POTS non-blocking, uncompressed lines per line card, 960 lines per Hi-FOCuS 5 MSAN shelf
Remote Terminals
With today's growing demand for enhanced multi-play services, carriers are looking for solutions that will run over their existing telephone infrastructure. As these bandwidth requirements increase, the equipment providing it over copper lines must move closer to subscribers. DSL deployment in the field creates many challenges. Housing space is at a premium and can cause deployment cost per subscriber to be uneconomical. Additional concerns include tolerance of weather conditions and providing power to locations that may have previously held passive equipment.
The answer to these challenges is the Remote Terminals solution: extending the range and reach of the existing infrastructure through advanced, rugged and flexible units, bringing services closer to the subscriber.
Features & Benefits:
- Carrier-grade family of solutions for remote broadband access
- Meets any type of physical, environmental or regulatory challenge
- Highly-Reliable - carrier-class (99.999% service availability), high TBF
- Built-in Security - grants carriers the first line of defense
- Backward Compatible - with previous-generation Hi-FOCuS family elements (shelves, network interfaces and line cards)
- Investment Protection - increase average revenue per user (ARPU), while continuing to cut capital and
IPTV & Multi-play
Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) is a service which many Telcos would like to offer their customers. Providing the multi-play of data, voice, video and other services creates major opportunities and complications for Telcos. In particular, video delivery requires a level of device and network sophistication that has not been required before.
IPTV represents an opportunity for wireline Telcos to compete head-to-head with cable providers by offering a full complement of connectivity, communications and entertainment services. The main anticipated benefits of offering IPTV services are:
- Increased average revenue per user (ARPU)
- Reduced customer churn
- Increased operational efficiency
Features & Benefits:
- Rich and enhanced features list, including QoS, Multicast and Virtual Routing, to allow effective IPTV service offering.
- IPTV over any access technology - copper with DSL flavors as well as Fiber Access flavors.
- ECI Telecom's MSAN solution guarantees no future bottlenecks with industryhighest uplink capacity (8 x Gigabit Ethernet per Network Interface).
- TR-101 compliant solution, guarantees flawless interoperability.
