Coral IPx in a Mission Critical Healthcare Application

7th November 2008   Jindal Steel & Power Limited is the third largest steel manufacturer in India and on the list of the top ten largest steel manufacturers in the world. It is part of the Jindal Organization which is valued at over $8 Billion US. Jindal Steel has developed an integrated township which comprises a Steel Plant, Power Plant and has recently completed the construction of hospital and hostel facilities for its many employees.
The new Jindal Hospital and Hostel have joined the rest of Jindal with the commissioning of their new fully redundant Coral FlexiCom 6000. The Coral system was chosen because of the mission critical nature of this site and has a remote shelf, connected to the main system by fiber optics, which will will operate as a standalone system in the event of a communications failure between the two sites.
